Inside Coronation Street's Sam Robertson's life off screen from surprising roles to famous exes
dailyrecord.co.ukSam Robertson is a well known face on Coronation Street for playing hunky Adam Barlow. The Scots actor joined the ITV soap in 2004 when he was just 18, and now the 37-year-old has established himself as one of the cobbles' most important characters.
In 2007 Sam left his first stint in the soap after causing chaos as the tearaway son of Mike Baldwin and would return again nine years later following his grandfather Ken Barlow’s stroke and since then he's featured in several dramatic storylines.
But away from the screen, Sam's life is actually a lot less dramatic...On the soap, Adam has a thick Scottish accent due to the character being brought up in a boarding school in Scotland.But his accent is real as he was born and raised in Dundee.Sam lived in Scotland until he turned 18 and is a keen supporter of Dundee Football Club.He relocated to Manchester after college to study Drama and English at university but decided to drop out when he was 18 to focus on his first stint playing Adam.
Despite being known best as Adam Barlow, Sam has also starred various other TV shows including River City, The Match, Push and Beaver Falls.
