shoppers queued from 6.30am as IKEA stores reopened in Scotland for the first time in three months.Around 300 people queued to shop at the Swedish homeware store in Straiton, Edinburgh.The shop has a capacity of 450 people - a quarter of how many shoppers it can usually accommodate.Large crowds also gathered outside the Glasgow branch in the pouring rain desperate to shop in the homeware department.The first shoppers arrived at 6.30am, and by 10am when doors opened around 300 eager shoppers were waiting to buy flatpacked furniture and frozen meatballs.Metal barriers and yellow dots showed people where to queue while maintaining social distancing, and some shoppers wore face masks in preparation for browsing.Stewards in high-vis yellow.
