Idris Elba
Idrissa Akuna Elba OBE (born 6 September 1972) is an English actor, writer, producer, rapper, singer, songwriter and DJ. He is known for roles including Stringer Bell in the HBO series The Wire, DCI John Luther in the BBC One series Luther, and Nelson Mandela in the biographical film Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom (2013). He has been nominated four times for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor – Miniseries or Television Film, winning one, and was nominated five times for a Primetime Emmy Award.

justjared.comIdris Elba is back on set filming Netflix‘s Luther movie! The 49-year-old actor was seen filming as his iconic character during an action scene in London’s Piccadilly Circus on Monday night (January 31).
The scene appeared to show Luther in an knife holdup of some sort. Idris was seen getting makeup applied to look like a cut on his nose between takes.
The last season of Luther aired on the BBC in 2019 and saw Luther getting arrested after letting serial killer Alice Morgan die. Idris has won many awards for his work on Luther, including a Golden Globe, a SAG Award, and a Critics Choice Award.
