Taylor Alison Swift is an American singer-songwriter. She is known for narrative songs about her personal life, which have received widespread media coverage. At age 14, Swift became the youngest artist signed by the Sony/ATV Music publishing house and, at 15, she signed her first record deal.
Her 2006 eponymous debut album was the longest-charting album of the 2000s in the US. Its third single, "Our Song", made her the youngest person to single-handedly write and perform a number-one song on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart. Swift's second album, Fearless, was released in 2008.
Buoyed by the pop crossover success of the singles "Love Story" and "You Belong with Me", it became the US' best-selling album of 2009 and was certified diamond in the US. The album won four Grammy Awards, and Swift became the youngest Album of the Year winner.
Golden Globe for the most awkward award-show host goes to …A “hurt” Jo Koy appeared to be licking his wounds while appearing on “GMA3” Monday after he hosted the 81st annual Golden Globe Awards on Sunday. “I had fun.
You know, it was a moment that I’ll always remember. It’s a tough room,” Koy, 52, said while appearing on the daytime news program. “It was a hard job, I’m not going to lie.” “I’d be lying if [I said] it doesn’t hurt…Hosting is just a tough gig,” continued the comedian. “Yes, I’m a stand-up comic, but that hosting position, it’s a different style.”When asked if there was a specific moment that he regrets the most, Koy said that his joke about Taylor Swift and the NFL was definitely one of the jokes that fell flat. “I think it was when the Taylor [Swift] one was just a little flat,” he said. “It was a weird joke, I guess.” “But it was more on the NFL . . .
I was trying to make fun of the NFL using cutaways and how the Globes didn’t have to do that,” Koy explained, referring to how the league has developed a fascination with the singer.“So it was more of a jab toward the NFL.
But it just didn’t come out that way,” Koy admitted. The joke in question came during Koy’s nearly six-and-a-half minute opening monologue where the “Easter Sunday” star said: “The big difference between the Golden Globes and the NFL is that at the Golden Globes, we have fewer camera shots of Taylor Swift.”While delivering the punchline, the broadcast cut to the “Cruel Summer” singer, 34, who was giving Koy a death stare.
