Hugh Grant and wife applauded for donating £10k towards appeal amid cost-of-living crisis
ok.co.ukActor Hugh Grant, 62, and wife Anna Eberstein, 43, have been praised by fans after donating £10,000 to a fundraiser supporting elderly, vulnerable and disabled people who are struggling during the cost-of-living crisis.
The GoFundMe appeal was set up by non-profit community organisation Depher, which provides food deliveries, gas and electricity top-ups and other help to people across the UK.
And James Anderson, founder of Depher, told the PA news agency that the couple have donated £55,000 since October 2021 to the organisation, describing it as “humbling and heavenly".
After the couple’s donation was revealed to the public, many people took to social media to praise that outspoken actor. “I wonder how many millionaires will donate their £55,000 cut in tax??
