Pictures posted to social media showed a large number of emergency services vehicles parked up outside the building this evening from around 9.10pm.
A cordon has been erected around part of the station. Bus routes and trams were diverted and Victoria Station approach was closed due to the incident.
Greater Manchester Police have said they were called to reports of a stabbing at 9.08pm at the Victoria Station tram stop. Officers from both GMP and the British Transport Police attended and established that a 17-year-old male had been stabbed - his injuries are not thought to be
