Storm Isha has brought strong winds and heavy rain to much of Scotland over the last 24 hours - and more is expected with Storm Jocelyn on the way.ScotRail stopped all services late last night from 7pm, warning people to get home before the worst of the weather kicked in.

The cancellations still remain in place Monday morning with the company stating the decision was made due to "safety reasons".ScotRail explain that "before trains can run today (January 22), a full line inspection and the repairing of any damage found must be carried out.

While trains are unable to run on most routes, we are beginning to reinstate some services."It comes after strong gales up to 99mph battered the UK and people being warned to only travel if necessary.

The Met Office states that there is currently a danger to life due to flying debris and people should take caution when heading out.The first yellow warnings for wind ended at 12pm today with people being told to brace for more high winds of 50 to 60mph inland and from 70 to 80mph on exposed coastal stretches until Wednesday (January 24).If you purchased a ticket but were unable to use it yesterday due to the ongoing travel and weather issues, ScotRail have said that you can still use your ticket over the next few days.
