The last landlord of an historic country pub says it will gradually become derelict unless he can turn it into houses.The Stair Inn was shut in October after 199 years.Dave and Catherine Birrell had been trying to sell the Inn - a feature of country life since 1820 - for three years without success.Now Dave says the building can be saved . . .
