The last year has been undeniably difficult for television presenter Helen Skelton. Just weeks after welcoming her third child with husband Richie Myler in December 2021, it was announced that the pair had called time on their eight year marriage, with the rugby player quickly setting up home and welcoming another child with new flame Stephanie Thirkill.
But Countryfile host Helen, 40, proved last year she's a force to be reckoned with - despite an emotional 12 months - after a hugely successful stint on Strictly Come Dancing saw her compete in the grand finale, winning the hearts of viewers across the country.
And now, a source close to the on-screen favourite has revealed that Helen is finally looking to a positive future, and is not only "in talks for a potential high-profile presenting gig", but is "reluctantly dipping her toe back into the dating pool". "After her trust was broken, she’s nowhere near ready for an all-in long-term romance," they explain. "But she’s not closing herself off to anything anymore.
She’s open to new adventures in all respects and is making it her aim to say ‘yes’ to more things that excite her." Helen announced the split on her Instagram and, at the time, penned: "Very sad to say that Richie and I are no longer a couple.
