Partick Thistle's fight against relegation must be arbitrated by an SFA tribunal and not an open court, a judge has ruled. Lord Clark announced his verdict shortly after 2pm on Friday following three days of proceedings at Edinburgh's Court of Session to decide how the matter should be dealt with.Hearts and Thistle unsuccessfully argued their case deserved full legal proceedings as they seek to overturn the outcome of the controversial vote to end the 2019/20 season in April.

Following the ballot, the Tynecastle club were condemned to the Championship while the Jags were left to contemplate life in League One.

The lawyers for both the SPFL and Dundee United, Raith Rovers and Cove Rangers - who could miss out on promotion - had proposed.
