The law was not applied fairly to Harvey Weinstein. The court of appeals said today that no one is above the law, but no one is below the law either.
You can’t throw out 100 years of legal precedent because someone is unpopular.” The press conference took place in a park across from the Manhattan court where Donald Trump is currently on trial for hush money payments.
Shouting Trump protesters surrounded the scrum of over 50 reporters, including a man in a pig mask with a sign that said “Trump is a pig.” Once he learned that the press conference was for Weinstein and not Trump, the pig-masked man chanted “Weinstein is a pig” and stood behind Aidala as he addressed the reporters “Today’s legal ruling is a great day for America,” Aidala said. “It instills faith there is a justice system.
