Prince Harry and Meghan Markle spent their first Valentine’s Day as a married couple 700 miles apart - but they made up for it in later years.
On 14 February, 2019, the Duke of Sussex was in Norway meeting Royal Marines training in Arctic conditions. His trip marked the 50th anniversary of the Commando Helicopter Force and Joint Helicopter Command, deployed to the base for extreme cold weather training.
But, while Meghan was not there on 14 February, the Marines at Bardufoss, in Norway, decorated a makeshift igloo with candles and pictures of the royal wedding in honour of his visit.
And, to make up for spending their first Valentine's Day as a married couple apart, they announced Meghan's pregnancy with Lilibet on 14 February, 2021.
