Bernie Sander
Bernard Sanders (born September 8, 1941) is an American politician who has served as the junior United States Senator from Vermont since 2007 and as U.S. Representative for the state's at-large congressional district from 1991 to 2007. He is the longest-serving independent in U.S. congressional history, although he has a close relationship with the Democratic Party, having caucused with House and Senate Democrats for most of his congressional career. Sanders unsuccessfully sought the Democratic Party nomination for president of the United States in 2016 and 2020.

The 26-year-old singer and the politician got candid about they really thought about last week’s Presidential debate, before diving into a conversation about tax evasion and wealth inequalities. Halsey discussed her upbringing, saying she is from a “lower-class family” with parents that dropped out of college to have her. “Now, as an adult at 26 years old I’m part of the one-percent,” Halsey said. “There is no amount of money that I think is worth personally contributing to the alienation, the disenfranchisement of millions, hundreds of millions of people across this country.
