Hairy Bikers star Si King shares update on Dave Myers’ cancer battle saying ‘he’s in the trenches’

The TV chef appeared at Bolton Food and Drink Festival yesterday and said: "I just wanted to say, from Dave and I, thank you so so very much for all of the goodwill and support, all the messages really do not go unnoticed. "He's doing canny but as you appreciate he's right in the trenches of it all at the minute but he's getting there, thank God." Dave, 64, has taken a step back from TV and festival work after revealing his diagnosis in May.
The popular Barrow-born star has been having chemotherapy and previously said his prognosis was good. Speaking to the Agony Uncles podcast earlier this year, Dave reassured fans he was "going to be fine".

The 55-year-old accepted Fortnum & Mason's Food and Drink Awards Personality of the Year award on behalf of him and Dave.
