There have been more than 900,000 coronavirus cases in Greater Manchester since the start of the pandemic, latest figures reveal.
A total of 902,643 coronavirus cases have been confirmed in the region. There have been 8,777 deaths. The figures come as infection rates continue to plummet in all 10 boroughs.
In Greater Manchester as a whole, the infection rate is now 176.3 cases per 100,000 people, according to the latest data from the UK Health Security Agency. A total of 4,998 people tested positive for coronavirus across Greater Manchester in the week which ended on February 28. That's down by 1,465 cases compared to the previous week, which means the infection rate fell 23 per cent.
