Gossip Girl fan, we strongly recommend that you check out HBO's new series The Gilded Age. Just like , it takes place among the moneyed elite of the Upper East Side, where and insiders jockey for prominence, keep secrets, throw parties, and manipulate one another for personal gain.

It's awesome. And the best part is that Dorota's there.Okay, not technically Dorota, Blair's loyal housekeeper/servant who became a fan favorite character on the CW show.

But Zuzanna Szadkowski, the actor who played Dorota Kishlovsky, appears in as Mabel Ainsley, magnate George Russell's (Morgan Spector) secretary/assistant. (We don't know what her exact title would have been in those days, but she works for him at the office, not at home like his family's domestic staff.) She only appears very briefly in the pilot—which is the only episode that has aired so far—but according to IMDb she's going to be in the rest of the episodes, and we also assume the series wouldn't have cast such an accomplished actor in a role that wasn't going anywhere. In Gossip Girl, Dorota has a thick Polish accent and references the “old country,” so it's heavily implied that she's a first-generation immigrant.

But we'd like to think that she's somehow also a descendant of Mabel Ainsley, that her bloodline has been assisting the wealthy and powerful of the Upper East Side since the neighborhood's inception.
