Former Manchester United transfer target Jurrien Timber has put pen to paper on a new contract at Dutch giants Ajax. The Netherlands international, who can operate at both right-back and centre-back, has extended his stay at the Johan Cruyff Arena until the summer of 2025.

The youngster, who will have ambitions of representing the Netherlands at the World Cup in Qatar later this year, had developed at a rapid rate of knots under Ten Hag and the United boss was keen to be reunited with him at Old Trafford.
