Former Manchester councillor Carl Ollerhead pleads not guilty to indecent assault on teenage girl

A former Manchester councillor has denied three charges of indecent assault on a teenage girl. Carl Ollerhead appeared at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court today and entered not guilty pleas.

The charges, which relate to a girl under 16, are alleged to have happened in 2001 before he became a councillor. Mr Ollerhead, 40, of Ivy Graham Close, Newton Heath, was first elected to Manchester council in 2012 to represent Didsbury West. Mr Ollerhead then served as the council’s executive member for finance and human resources. He was later suspended by the town hall's Labour group.
