The Foo Fighters have found a brand new drummer to join the band! The announcement happened during their livestream event, “Foo Fighters: Preparing Music for Concerts,” which showcased their upcoming 11th studio album But Here We Are.

It was there that they introduced Josh Freese as the band’s new drummer, following the death of Taylor Hawkins. Josh isn’t exactly new to the music scenes, and he’s very experienced after having played with Nine Inch Nails, The Offspring, Sting, and Weezer.

He was also one of the musicians that performed during the 2022 tribute to Taylor. However, while Josh was revealed as the new drummer who is featured on the bands’ new album, it’s not confirmed if he’ll join Foo Fighters permanently, or for live shows.

If he did join the group on a permanent basis, he’d join Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel, Pat Smear, Chris Shiflett and Rami Jaffee.
