Five arrested in dawn raids as part of crackdown on Class A drugs

A large amount of cash was recovered from the properties, as well as a substantial amount of suspected cocaine.It will be examined and used in evidence.

One man, aged 41, was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs and money laundering. Two men, aged 27 and 35, were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.

A man, aged 24 and a woman, aged 39, were also arrested on suspicion of money laundering. They all remain in police custody for questioning.

Det Sgt Ian Parker, of GMP’s Tameside District said: “We currently have five people in custody and that serves as testament to the hard work and dedication of all the officers involved in this operation.
