Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without Home Alone, and while talk of the festive period in September might be triggering for some, events are starting to move into the holiday calendar already.

As such, the classic Macaulay Culkin caper will be heading to the Opera House in November. As a pre-festive night out to get you in the mood, the John Hughes movie will be shown on screen, but with a live orchestra playing the classic John Williams score along with the action.

It’s the first time the movie has toured featuring a full orchestra backing. The Manchester date of Home Alone in Concert happens on November 27, with further dates confirmed for Birmingham, Glasgow and Nottingham.

Tickets will go on sale via Ticketmaster at 10am on September 9. The movie is a holiday season staple, with Culkin playing the eight-year-old Kevin McCallister, who accidentally gets left at home while his family head off on a Christmas trip to Paris.
