Fears over testing, equipment and being 'ostracized' by friends - a Greater Manchester doctor on the frontline of coronavirus

A doctor working at a Greater Manchester hospital has spoken of her concerns over coronavirus testing, equipment - and how it's affecting healthcare staff.

The doctor, who asked not to be named, said hospital staff are looking to the experiences of health workers in Italy as they anticipate a new wave of cases and deaths across the region.

As of Thursday evening (March 12), there were 30 confirmed cases in Greater Manchester. The doctor said: "This is not 'just flu'. "Things are definitely ramping up and there's almost certainly going to be a massive increase in cases and deaths over the next few days.
