Fred Lynsky, 92, died in hospital on Saturday (April 17) - three weeks after being hit by a van in Rawtenstall, in Lancashire.

Police were called to the collision at a car park in Newchurch Road at around 12.45pm on Saturday, March 27. Mr Lynsky, from Rawtenstall, suffered a broken hip and was taken to hospital for treatment where he has since died.
