Emily Atack revealed fears she had surrounding her fertility years before she fell pregnant. The Inbetweeners star, 34, has announced that she is expecting her first child with her nuclear scientist partner Dr Alistair Garner.

Before her 30th birthday, the comedian embarked on a journey to find out about her own fertility during her show, Emily Atack: Adulting.

Opening up on the show, Emily said: "I have been worrying about my fertility. "My whole life I have assumed if I met someone I could have babies straight away, but what if I can’t? "I have got to be honest, if they come back and say something is wrong I will be absolutely devastated." The TV star, who was in a relationship with Rob Jowers at the time added: "I’m worrying that I’ll get to 32, still not anywhere close to having kids." She went on to say that she wants to be "surrounded with family" like her Grandma Betty was, who had "so many grandkids and so many kids". "That’s what I want", Emily added, who is already from a large family with a sister, brother, three aunts, an uncle and Paul McCartney as a first cousin.
