EastEnders fans have labelled the recent storyline surrounding the coverup of Keanu Taylor's (Danny Walters) murder "peak television" and "comedic gold." The soap's dramatic Christmas episode saw Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) stab Keanu as he attempted to strangle Sharon Watts (Letitia Dean) in the Queen Vic.

In subsequent episodes, Linda, Sharon, Denise Fox (Diane Parish), Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal), Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth), and Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) teamed up to hide the body in the cafe and cover up the crime.

And thing's took a turn for the worst in Wednesday's episode, when the women returned to the cafe to hide the body further. Taking to social media, fans were quick to discuss the scenes, with many pointing out the women's lack of subtlety when covering up a murder.Taking to X, formerly Twitter, one viewer quipped: "I love the six, they really are so stupid together and it's peak television, its wild nobody has caught them yet #Eastenders." Another shared a video clip of the moment Denise fell onto Keanu's body, which they captioned: "This is comedy gold [crying emoji] "Denise's way of dealing with a drunk Linda is by showing her tough love, but Stacey intervening meant that spectacularly backfired for Denise #EastEnders." While a third wrote: "#EastEnders Watching the five (because Sharon has legged it) is like watching the chuckle brother’s trying to cover up a murder!

How haven’t they been caught yet is beyond me." And a fourth added: "They've fully cemented a floor with no experience, and not a spot of mess on any of them. This is SO camp, I love it.
