Eamonn Holmes 'delighted' after being stopped by police on way to work

Ex This Morning presenter Eamonn Holmes was pulled over by police on his way to work in the early hours of the morning. The Northern Irish GB News host, 62, says he was "delighted" Surrey Police stopped him to check his vehicle as there has been numerous car thefts in his area.

As reported in The Mirror, Eamonn took to social media and praised the police force for checking that his car wasn't stolen.

He wrote on Twitter: "Pulled over by the #Police on the way into work and delighted to be so. A lot of car thefts in my area and they were just checking that the car I was in wasn't one of them… 2 young officers in their 20's and an absolute credit to @SurreyPolice."
