Drivers had to swerve to avoid hitting a Coatbridge knifeman who was running about in the road in front of them. Shaun Linnen's erratic behaviour was spotted by CCTV operators who watched as he eventually left the street and disappeared into a common close.

Linnen, 30, of Witchwood Court, appeared from custody at Airdrie Sheriff Court this week. The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

He was searched but no knife was recovered."Linnen was released from custody but failed to attend court in May this year.He was finally traced on October 7 when he was again arrested for carrying a knife.Mrs Cole said police officers were called to Dalveen Quadrant, Coatbridge, around midnight to deal with a disturbance.They found Linnen in the garden and realised a
