A doctor has raised more than £1,300 for NHS charities by running 11km around her 10m-long garden - despite suffering from coronavirus.

Gemma Buston tested positive for COVID-19 and went into isolation on Friday, April 17 - the same day she was nominated by a friend to complete the 5km challenge currently popular on social media.

With nowhere else to run, the 28-year-old decided to take on the task in the garden of her home in Monton, Salford, where she lives with fiance Luke Mills.

But, things didn't go to plan. "My friend nominated me to do the 5km run that people have been doing and I decided to do it in my garden because I've been in self-isolation," Gemma explained. "I put my usual tracker on that I use for runs but it didn't work it
