A disabled student says his birthday was ruined after a meal at TGI Friday's was cancelled because it was not wheelchair accessible.

Aaron Diskin 21, who studies at the University of Salford, had planned to have a birthday meal with his family at a TGI Friday's in Prestwich on 21 February.

Due to an issue with an extractor fan in the Prestwich restaurant however, they had to relocate to the Trafford Centre branch instead.

Aaron had family members who were travelling across the country for the meal making it a party of 26 including him. He says that restaurant bosses told him the biggest table they had was on the third floor and with no lift in the unit there was no way for Aaron to reach the table.
