A disabled mum could be forced out of an "illegal" back garden bungalow built without planning permission. Shabena Ahmed lives at the property with her three children, but the family are in serious danger of being kicked out, reports Manchester Evening News.

The mother, who is disabled due to hearing difficulties, has lived in the 'granny annexe' since it was built outside the Manchester home back in 2020.

However, the family of four could be forced to move out, as Manchester council rules that the three-bedroom single-storey dwelling does not meet standards.

Town hall planners say they would be "incredibly reasonable" in allowing the family to find alternative accommodation if no agreement can be reached.
