A woman has shared a hack that may help you keep your clothes smelling fresh for years - and maybe even decades. The TikTok user, named Julia, shared a trick her grandmother taught, claiming it can keep your clothes fresh for '15 to 20 years'.Julia's clip has been seen more than 600,000 times and has left viewers impressed.

The time in question is a simple bar of soap, writes the Mirror. In a video posted to her @_boringbb_ account, Julia said: "Did anyone else rip out those magazine fragrance testers and shove them in your drawers to keep your clothes smelling nice?

I did up until a few months ago. "I was over at my grandma's house and she pulls out this bar of soap [from her drawer] and I was like, 'why do you have that in there?' and she said 'Oh honey, you didn't know that's how you keep your clothes smelling nice?'"Apparently, if you take a nice, neutral, wrapped bar of soap (this one is lavender but you can use cotton or whatever), it'll last 15 to 20 years."I had no idea, but I tried it out for a few months and it's amazing.

My clothes smell amazing. Definitely give it a go."Bars of soap vary in price, but you can pick up Palmolive bars for £1 from Asda, while the supermarket also stocks a four-pack of Imperial Leather bars for £2, making each bar just 50p.
