Child Disability Payment opens for new applications across Scotland today, Monday November 22. Disability Living Allowance for children (DLA for child) is delivered by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), but is being replaced by the new benefit for Scottish claimants and for the first time anywhere in the UK, disability benefit applicants will be able to make a claim online, as well as by phone, post or in-person.
