Delayed start to schools in South Lanarkshire as heavy snow hits

A number of schools and nurseries throughout South Lanarkshire will have a delayed start to their learning this morning as heavy snow fell last night.South Lanarkshire Council have stated that at present 47 schools and seven nurseries will not open until 10am due to adverse weather conditions.A yellow weather warning was issued by the Met Office yesterday as blustery snow showers streamed into the north.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
