Elizabeth II (Elizabeth Alexandra Mary; born 21 April 1926) is Queen of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms. Elizabeth was born in London, the first child of the Duke and Duchess of York, later King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, and she was educated privately at home. Her father ascended the throne on the abdication of his brother King Edward VIII in 1936, from which time she was the heir presumptive. She began to undertake public duties during the Second World War, serving in the Auxiliary Territorial Service. In 1947, she married Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, a former prince of Greece and Denmark, with whom she has four children: Charles, Prince of Wales; Anne, Princess Royal; Prince Andrew, Duke of York; and Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex.

Danny Boyle to direct hip-hop stage version of ‘The Matrix’

“The Matrix” would be like if it incorporated hip-hop choreography? Academy Award-winning director Danny Boyle apparently did and is bringing that vision — titled “Free Your Mind” — to a Manchester arts venue, the new Factory International, in 2023.The Warner Bros.

Theater Ventures-licensed project is described as a “large-scale immersive performance” that will debut next October, Variety reported on Thursday.

Multitalented composer Michael “Mikey J” Asante will work on the music for the show while Kenrick “H2O” Sandy will handle choreography.

Boyle’s longtime collaborator Tracey Seaward will produce, while poet-playwright Sabrina Mahfouz will help write, and artist Es Devlin will provide large sculptures.“Combining the hip-hop choreography of hundreds of dancers with the latest immersive design, ‘Free Your Mind’ will take audiences on a thrilling journey through ‘The Matrix’ and into a new realm of possibilities,” the logline reads, according to the outlet.“This eye-opening production will stretch across the building’s ultra-flexible spaces, responding to them and harnessing the collective energy of the moment,” it ended.
