Dancing With The Stars” Season 32 won’t be the same without Len Goodman’s presence in the ballroom. The former head judge of the ABC reality dancing series announced his retirement in Season 31.

Sadly, he died a few short months later. Now, the show is honoring his legacy in the best way possible.“Dancing With The Stars” has officially renamed their championship trophy.

The hardware was once known simply as the Mirror Ball Trophy. However, it will hereby be referred to as the Len Goodman Mirror Ball Trophy from now on.

The gesture is a sweet and appropriate way to pay homage to Goodman in the seasons going forward.“The Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy will now be lifted on ‘Dancing With The Stars’ like the Vince Lombardi trophy is lifted at the Super Bowl,” the show’s executive producer Conrad Green told USA Today after the announcement. “We wanted to make Len a permanent part of this show, to always remind people the importance he’s had to ‘Dancing with the Stars‘ and how much he meant to all of us,” Green continued. “Len loves this show and will always be there, looking down on us,” he added.Len Goodman was a staple on “Dancing With The Stars” since the show’s beginnings in the U.S.
