A couple say that their summer holiday has been a 'disaster' because of the hotel room they stayed in. To make matters worse, Glenys and Graham Launders say they have been unable to get a refund.

Glenys, 75, arrived in Skegness with her husband Graham, 80, on August 4 to enjoy a five-day break with their family. One of their sons owns a caravan in the East Coast seaside town, whilst another was staying at nearby Butlin's during that week, and the trip was organised as a big family holiday.

However, Mrs Launders said that the hotel room in which she and her husband stayed, for which they payed £545, "wasn't fit for humans", Nottinghamshire Live reports. But she said she noticed problems with the room she and her husband had been given as soon as they entered. She said: "We arrived in Skegness at about 4.30pm and spoke to the lady at reception who greeted us and said that, to get to our room, we would have to go around a corner and up two flights of stairs.
