Cops launch investigation after Lanarkshire property deliberately set on fire in late night blaze

Police are investigating a fire which broke out at a Lanarkshire property at the weekend. Emergency services raced to the scene in The Glebe area of Bothwell on Saturday evening, October 22, as firefighters tackled the blaze.

A Police Scotland source told Lanarkshire Live : “Around 7.50pm on Saturday, we received a report of a fire at a premises at The Glebe, Bothwell. “It is being treated as wilful and enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”Nearby residents were able to see the blaze from as far as the motorway with some reporting it was spotted whilst driving on the M74 and roads closer to the area in Bothwell.Many were thankful nobody was hurt from the incident, remarking that the affected property has lain empty for some time.The building is located at the east side of the Glebe near to Bothwell Parish Church.A Scottish Fire and
