Confirmed case of COVID-19 at Kilmarnock primary school

Kilmarnock primary school are being asked to self-isolate after a person tested positive for coronavirus. Whatriggs Primary school confirmed to parents earlier today that contact tracing is being carried out at the school.

In a letter seen by the Kilmarnock Standard, it says that parents or guardians not contacted by Test and Protect haven't been identified as a close contact of the individual and isn't at "increased risk".

The letter reads: "Apologies for interrupting your holidays but I have received information from Public Health that Whatriggs Primary School has a confirmed positive case of COVID-19."All close contacts are in the process of being contacted by our Test and Protect Team via a phone call and will be involved in the 14 day.
