Christine McGuinness has revealed that she feels nervous as she prepares to attend the National Television Awards on Thursday. The former Real Housewives of Chesire star took to Instagram where she told fans, “it’s not the best situation.” Christine, 34, separated from Paddy McGuinness earlier this year after 11 years together.

Christine told her 680k followers: "I'm going to the NTAs tomorrow - I'm a nominee for the documentary me and Patrick made with our children. "I'm really anxious.

I'm quite nervous just because of everything - obviously it's not the best situation, but I haven't done anything wrong. "I know what a big difference the documentary has made and I know how hard the whole team worked on it so I'm going to go and try and hold my head up high and just enjoy the night." Paddy will not be in attendance, with sources saying he wants his former wife to "bask in all the glory." A source told The Sun: "Paddy is staying away and focusing on work, letting Christine bask in the glory of being nominated for the doc, which meant so much to her. "If they both showed up there would be too much focus on their relationship and they want to be respectful." Their documentary, entitled Paddy and Christine McGuinness: Our Family and Autism, follows the couple as they talk to experts about the condition and how it affects the lives of those living with it.

All three of Paddy and Christine's children, Penelope Patricia McGuinness, Felicity Rose McGuinness and Leo Joseph McGuinness, have been diagnosed with autism.
