China knife attack: 39 children and staff injured in crazed rampage at school

More than 40 people have been injured after a crazed knife attack in a school in China. Authorities say at least 39 pupils and two staff members, including the headteacher, at the school in Wuzhou in the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region were hurt by the knifeman this morning.

A security guard is suspected of carrying out the attack but there is no clear motive. All the injured people have since been transferred to hospital and the suspected attacker was arrested at the scene.

Many of the children who were injured in the incident, which took place at about 8.30am local-time at the Wangfu Town Central Primary School, were pre-schoolers, reports the South China Morning Post.It's understood that although dozens were taken to hospital, none
