Actress Catherine Tyldesley, 38, has opened up on her weight loss journey, admitting her biggest motivation was "staying alive." The Coronation Street star has always been very open and honest when it comes to discussing her weight, after going from a size 22 to a size eight after dropping six stone.

In a chat with OK!, Catherine said: "For me, the biggest motivation was staying alive. I was obese and we know that obesity is connected to mortality. "I want to be on this earth for as long as possible because I love my life and then my little boy came along and even more so.
