Dec said they had been trying to get the host of Clarkson's Farm on to the show for the last 10 years as he appeared on BBC The One Show on Thursday night (February 17) to promote the new season.
The live show starts on Saturday on ITV and will return for the first time with a studio audience since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.
