Call to halt e-scooter trials after string of deaths across the country

The National Federation of the Blind says the rentable machines - 100 have been placed for hire in Rochdale - are not safe for riders or pedestrians and that the experiment should be halted immediately.

The charity's street access campaign coordinator Sarah Gayton says 'serious safety maintenance issues' have been identified and the Lime-operated e-scooters have been found abandoned and fallen over on pavements on the streets. READ MORE:Gang pose as workmen...
