ok.co.ukBruce Willis's wife Emma Willis broke down into tears as she celebrated their 16th wedding anniversary amid her husbands battle with dementia.The model opened up to her followers in a candid Instagram video where she revealed that she had seen a friend recently and had a "really good cry", adding "anniversary's are hard".The actor is said to now be non-verbal and 'just observing life through a screen door' after he was forced to quit acting due to a diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia.
Speaking on her Instagram stories, Emma candidly said she recently broke down into tears, adding: "It is really important to be able to have someone that you can trust with your feelings instead of just bottling them up and putting your best foot forward and just soldiering through stuff, which I have a tendency to do, holidays and anniversaries are hard." She added: "But for me this year it has really been about community, building a connection.
And I just want to say it has been my lifeline and I just want to say thank you for that." Emma also shared a couple of sweet snaps to mark her anniversary where she was stood with her husband Bruce and planted a soft kiss on his cheek.
She captioned the snaps: "16 years with this special man. My love and adoration for him only grows." After announcing in March 2022 that Bruce was dealing with language disorder aphasia, the actor's daughter Rumer, 34, shared that he was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD) that had "progressed".
