Broadway Stagehand Dies After Tragic Accident in Winter Garden Theatre

hollywoodreporter.comA stagehand has died following a tragic accident while working inside Broadway's Winter Garden Theatre, the New York City Police Department confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter.
Officers responded to a 911 call around 9 a.m. on Thursday at 770 Seventh Avenue, the Winter Garden Theater. Inside, a 54-year-old male was discovered lying on the floor "with injuries consistent with a fall from an elevated height," police said.
The victim was transported to Mount Sinai hospital where he was pronounced dead. "Preliminary investigation has determined that the victim fell from a ladder while performing routine maintenance.
