A "very special" documentary will be made later this year to honour the life of the late presenter Dave Myers. Dave, who died at the age of 66 in February, had publicly shared his cancer diagnosis less than two years prior.

His friend and Hairy Bikers co-star Si King, now 58, announced the sad news. Si will further commemorate his late co-star and fellow chef in the forthcoming BBC documentary The Hairy Bikers: You'll Never Ride Alone.

As reported by PA, it will be broadcast just before Christmas on BBC Two and will document the memorial journey of 45,000 bikers from London to Dave's hometown of Barrow-in-Furness in April this year.

In the one-off special, TV host Si will highlight moments from his 25-year career and friendship with Dave. The hour-long programme will utilise archive footage, new interviews and unseen clips to celebrate Dave's life and his double act with Si.
