BBC Strictly's Dianne Buswell reveals dad's devastating diagnosis as she calls him her 'hero'

Strictly Come Dancing star Dianne Buswell has been flooded with support as she took to social media revealing her dad's devastating cancer diagnosis on Thursday with her co-stars and fans sending all their love.The Australian dancer is currently competing in this year's BBC series alongside EastEnders star Bobby Brazier, as fans noticed she hasn't been her usual bubbly self in recent shows and has been appearing quite emotional.

Dianne, 34, previously opened up on having a "difficult time" in her personal life away from dancing as she revealed some concerning news about her dad Mark's health, however she never confirmed exactly what had been going on.She said in the YouTube video at the time: "Last week I got some news about my dad’s health.

I’m not going to go into detail, but obviously that affected me. Being away from home and not being able to support and help your family in a time of need is quite a difficult thing."Earlier this month she also shared an image of her dad lying in a hospital bed wired up to machines, with a bunch of balloons next to his bedside including a yellow smiley face. "Love you so much dad.

Sending all my healing wishes and energy your way," she wrote. She also tagged her dad, whilst also calling him her "hero". Dianne has since confirmed why her dad has been unwell and in hospital as she was flooded with support over the news of his cancer on Monday.Sharing a photo of Mark waving to the camera from his hospital bed, the dancer penned in the caption: "I'm so proud of you dad [red heart emoji].
