Shirley Ballas has already given her 'first 10' of Strictly Come Dancing's 2024 series - but there's a reason viewers will have missed it.
The head judge has been back on the panel of the BBC One dance contest since its return last month. On Saturday night (October 5), Shirley made a grand entrance into the famous ballroom as she gently emerged from the ceiling as Mary Poppins for the show's annual Movie Week special.
It comes after week three was opened with a group number from the show's professional dancers who transformed into minions from the Despicable Me franchise while Kai Widdrington, who was left without a celebrity dance partner this year, appeared as the film’s villain, Gru, donning a bald head and a prosthetic nose. The 26-year-old performed a “moving” rumba with professional partner Aljaz Skorjanec to What Was I Made For? by Billie Eilish from the Barbie movie.
