Strictly Come Dancing fans only had their attention on two of the judges this weekend but for different reasons. The hit BBC One dance contest returned to screens on Saturday night (November 11).

And while the dance battle for the Glitterball trophy is still on, there was a shorter term goal in sight for the eight remaining couples as a place in the show's annual Blackpool special was at stake.

The famous trip to the seaside resort returns next Saturday (November 18) and will see the seven remaining couples perform in the iconic Tower Ballroom in the show's spectacular tradition.

But the couples needed to succeed in week eight of the 2023 series first and it was quite the night in the Strictly ballroom.
