BBC presenter Gabby Logan has hit back after her Paris Olympics commentary blunder. The 51-year-old TV star took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to defend herself after she used the phrase 'c**k up' on two separate occasions during her BBC coverage of the Olympic Games on Friday. On Saturday she wrote 'Good afternoon' alongside a screenshot showing the definition of " along with a screenshot showing the definition of "c**k up".Gabby was discussing Team USA's performance in the 4x100m relay.

The US athletes were favourites in the race but were disqualified due to a handover error, allowing Canada to seize gold, with South Africa and Great Britain completing the podium.

Speaking to the BBC Athletics panel, Gabby commented during her broadcast. "OK, we've just had a kind of spoiler alert if you've just joined us on BBC One because Michael said, especially the way the USA c**ked up, so let's go back and see the whole of that 4x100m relay in the men's final," reports the Express.Gabby, then repeated the phrase 'c**k up' once again, sparking criticism from viewers on social media.

But the TV presenter refused to apologise and shared the definition of the phase which states: "C**k up sounds rude but it isn't. "C**k, in the sense of this term, means 'stand up conspicuously', 'turn up at the edge', 'bend at an angle' etc.
